Part-Time Church Administrative Assistant :

Job Description

The primary objective of this part-time position is to support the operations of the church office, provide administrative support to pastoral and music staff, and to administer processes that allow for efficient and effective execution of building and facilities operations.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Be the point person in receiving/sending church communications (e.g., incoming emails from

    visitors, sending out announcements, checking the mail) and in maintaining church contact

    records.

  • Be the point person for vendors and others needing access to the building (e.g., piano tuners,

    maintenance of office equipment, etc.).

  • Compile, format and print the weekly bulletin and other materials for Sunday morning worship.

  • Execute social media updates (e.g., CCM website, Instagram, weekly uploads of sermons to

    website/Spotify, etc.) with relevant content, ensuring such platforms are up to date with current

    and relevant content.

  • Assist Ministry Teams in procuring supplies and otherwise assisting them in carrying out their

    tasks (i.e., creating flyers for outreach events, helping organize congregational meetings,

    developing and documenting church policies, etc.)

  • Organize and execute our volunteer solicitation and sign-up process.

  • Liaise with our accounting/bookkeeper on paying invoices and in coding/classifying expenses

    based on our chart of accounts; make deposits/communicate collection sheets to bookkeeper.

  • Coordinate and maintain the church calendar and an electronic file storage system.

  • Maintain and organize the church reception and lobby area.

  • Order, organize and maintain supplies such as printing paper, coffee, communion, bathroom,

    books, office, etc.

    Qualifications:  

  • Credible profession of a Christian faith.

  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) with experience in administrative support

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in (or ability to gain proficiency) with Church Planning Center, Microsoft Office

    software programs (or equivalent), and cloud storage systems.

  • Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken.

  • Experience with church processes or faith-based work preferred, understanding this to be a

    position of trust which may involve handling personal and confidential information.
